RESOLUTION NO. 404 16
RESOLUTION TO AMEND RESOLUTION NO. 256-13 BY
INCREASING THE COST CAP FOR THE FINAL YEAR OF A MULTI-
YEAR AGREEMENT TO PURCHASE SOFTWARE AND LICENSING
FOR THE COUNTY EMAIL SYSTEM
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 256-13, adopted by the Hawaii County Council
on December 8, 2013, authorized the payment of funds of a later fiscal year and
more than one fiscal year for a multi-year agreement to purchase software and
licensing for the County email system; and
WHEREAS, Resolution 256-13 authorized the Department of Information
Technology to enter into this three (3) year agreement at a cost not to exceed
$180,000 per year; and
WHEREAS, adjustments to the County's total licensing count and additional
licensing to allow for email anti-virus and anti-spam services were added by way of
a supplemental agreement; and
WHEREAS, these much needed adjustments increase the third-year cost to
$197,749.48; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII,
that the cost cap for the final year of the three (3) year agreement indicated
above be raised to $197,749.48.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk of the County of
Hawaii shall transmit copies of this resolution to the Office of the Mayor, the
Finance Department, and to the Department of Information Technology.
