Bill 140: AMENDS CHAPTER 20, OF THE HAWAI‘I COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005
EDITION, AS AMENDED), BY ADDING A NEW ARTICLE RELATING TO
REDUCTION OF POLYSTYRENE FOAM “STYROFOAM”
FOOD CONTAINERS AND FOOD SERVICE WARE
Prohibits the sale, disbursement, and use of polystyrene foam containers and food
service ware by a food provider or vendor to customers effective January 1, 2018.

that pursuant to Hawaii Revised Statutes (hereinafter ‘HRS”) §92-3.5,
Hawaii County Council will be conducting this meeting via videoconference. If audio stream
