RESOLUTION NO. 429 16
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A PALLET JACK TO THE CIVIL
DEFENSE AGENCY.
WHEREAS, the Civil Defense Agency assists communities around Hawaii County with
emergency readiness and rapid response capabilities: and
WHEREAS. the Civil Defense Agency has identified a need for a pallet jack to assist
with moving emergency supplies; and
WHEREAS, a palletjack would improve the ability of the Civil Defense Agency to
move supplies efficiently to staging areas, community centers, or other designated areas in the
event of an emergency; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 4 will be appropriated to
the Civil Defense Agency to purchase a pallet jack; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Civil Defense Administrator and Director of Finance, and that the Director of
Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this
resolution.
