HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 430 Draft 01 2014-2016COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII RESOLUTION NO. 430 16 A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO THE OCEAN VIEW COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION, INC., FOR TROPIC CARE 2016. WHEREAS, the Ocean View Community Association, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports and promotes community empowerment through education and economic development opportunities; and WHEREAS, the Ocean View Community Association, Inc., is providing support to Tropic Care 2016, which is a Department of Defense Innovative Readiness Training Program; and WHEREAS, through Tropic Care 2016, military personnel will refine their health care skills by providing free dental, vision, and medical services to underserved communities in the district of Ka`u from May 30, 2016, to June 4, 2016; and WHEREAS, the Ocean View Community Association, Inc., needs funds to pay for the transportation of anyone needing free health care and for other miscellaneous expenses associated with 'I Care 2016; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawaii County Code, Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event. activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; and WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 6 will be appropriated to the Department of Research and Development to provide a grant to the Ocean View Community Association, Inc., for Tropic Care 2016; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI9 that the following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: FUND: General AMOUNT OF APPROPRIATION: $5,500 OUT AND FROM: 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-CouncilSVC— Contingency Relief $5,500 CREDITED TO 010.161.5162.98 Department of Research and Development $5,500 Hl Cry. Resource Center 115 Misc. Contract Services (Ocean View Community Association, Inc. — Tropic Care 2_0 16) BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this resolution to the Director of Research and Development and Director of Finance, and that the Director of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
