Subject: Regarding Bill 140 to BAN styrofoam in Hawai'i County
To whom it may concern:
I am writing to show my absolute support regarding Bill 140 with regard to banning styrofoam in Hawai'i County.
As someone who is very conscious not only about my own health and the health of others but also the health of our
environment/planet i believe it is essential that Bill 140 is passed.
The production of styrofoam involves the use of non-renewable fossil fuels and toxic chemicals that leach into the our
environment harming not just humans, but poisoning animals and our land. It is neither biodegradable or compostable.
There are vast amounts of research available that clearly show the detrimental effects of styrofoam.There is no good
reason why Bill 140 should not be passed if the people in power care even an iota about doing what is right for the good
health of all.
