Dear Chairman Kanuha and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Jonathan P. Bartsch of Council District 9, to the County of
Hawaii Game Management Advisory Commission. Mr. Bartsch is a 36-year resident of
Hawai'i. He is a Police Officer with the Hawaii County Police Department.
Mr. Bartsch states he is not affiliated with any political party. He was confirmed to this
commission in May, 2015, to serve the remainder of a term that ended on December
31, 2015. Hawaii County Charter Section 13-4(c), states that "members of any board or
commission appointed for a term of two years or less shall be eligible to succeed
themselves for an additional full term. If he is confirmed today, he will serve a full term
to end on December 31. 2020.
