RESOLUTION NO. 503 16
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR SUPPLIES FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF
PARKS AND RECREATION, ELDERLY ACTIVITIES DIVISION.
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation, Elderly Activites Division, has
identified the need for funds to provide supplies for senior clubs and classes; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawai`i believes in promoting maximum independence,
optimum health, personal dignity and self-enrichment for adults 55 years and older through
educational and recreational choices, various opportunities and services that enhance quality of
life; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 1 will be appropriated to
the Department of Parks and Recreation, Elderly Activites Division, for chairs and tables, fans,
CD players, coffee urns, acrylic beverage dispensers, and other related supplies to help with the
senior clubs and classes; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC—Contingency Relief $4,000
CREDITED TO:
010.500.5519.72 Department of Parks and Recreation $4,000

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and Director of Finance, and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
