Your Committee on Agriculture, Water and Energy Sustainability, to which was referred
Communication 766, reports as follows:
Communication 766, transmitted by Mayor Billy Kenoi, dated March 7, 2016, nominates
Jonathan P. Bartsch of Council District 9 to the County of Hawai`i Game Management Advisory
Commission. Mr. Bartsch is a 36 year resident of Hawai`i and is a Police Officer with the
Hawai`i County Police Department. Mr. Bartsch states that he is not affiliated with any political
party.
Mr. Bartsch was confirmed to the commission in May, 2015, to serve the remainder of a term
that ended on December 31, 2015. If confirmed, Mr. Bartsch will serve a full term to end on
December 31, 2020.
Deputy Managing Director Bobby Command introduced Mr. Bartsch, who was not present due
to being on vacation. His attendance is not required for the full Council confirmation.
Your Committee on Agriculture, Water and Energy Sustainability is in accord with the purpose
and intent of Communication 766 and recommends confirmation of the appointment of
Jonathan P. Bartsch to the County of Hawai`i Game Management Advisory Commission.
