Also enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating this $81,000 to the Firefighter Safety account. The grant will enable the Fire Department's Fire Protection Bureau to purchase supplies and personal protective equipment that are not funded in its current operating budget. This grant will also enable the Department to fund training costs.
