RESOLUTION NO. 511 16
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER
FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A
MULTI-YEAR AGREEMENT WITH DAVID CORPORATION
WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract,
lease or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later
fiscal year or more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and
WHEREAS, support for the David Corporation Renaissance software, currently
utilized by the Department of Human Resources for workers' compensation claims
management, will no longer be supported, beginning in 2017; and
WHEREAS, David Corporation will be replacing Renaissance with the more
efficient NAVRISK software; and
WHEREAS, this software is essential for the management and processing of the
County's existing and new employee workers' compensation injury claims; and
WHEREAS, the County wishes to enter into a four (4) year multi-year agreement
with David Corporation to upgrade to thier NAVRISK software; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a multi-year NAVRISK software acquisition
agreement and that sufficient funds will be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the
anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk transmit copies of this resolution
to the Mayor's Office, the Department of Finance, and the Department of Human
Resources.
