Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation, to which was referred Bill No. 182,
reports as follows:
Bill No. 182, transmitted by Public Works Director Warren H.W. Lee, via Communication
No. 803 dated March 4, 2016, amends Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 1, of the Hawai`i County
Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as amended), relating to speed limits.
The bill revises existing Item 3 (Kalapana-Kapoho Beach Road), Schedule 4 (30 mph),
subsection (g), Puna, by designating a specific portion of the road to the prescribed speed limit.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation is in accord with the purpose and
intent of Bill No. 182, and recommends its passage on first reading.
