HSSSC-9 April 19, 2016 Comm. 652: FISCAL YEAR 2016-2017 NONPROFIT GRANT REVIEW PROCESS AND FORMATION OF AN AD HOC COMMITTEE From Human Services and Social Services Committee(HSSSC) Chair Maile "Medeiros" David, dated January 20, 2016, describing the nonprofit grant review process and requesting formation of an ad hoc committee. The ad hoc committee would conduct application reviews with the applicants for the County's annual nonprofit grant awards and then report its findings to the HSSSC. Sako, dated February 9, 2016, transmitting applications from eligible nonprofit organizations for the Council's review and appropriation of funds for the Fiscal Year 2016-17 nonprofit grant program. ; and Comm. 652.2: RECOMMENDATIONS FOR GRANT APPROPRIATIONS TO NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS From Human Services and Social Services Committee(HSSSC) Chair Maile David, dated March 17, 2016, transmitting the HSSSC Ad Hoc Committee's recommendations for grant funding to nonprofit organizations for inclusion in the County of Hawaii Operating Budget for Fiscal Year 2016-2017. A total of 144 eligible applications were received, with requests totaling $5,580,865. The recommendations have been developed through a review of all applications with each applicant. Close file and accept recommendations of the ad hoc committee for inclusion in Bill 155, the Operating Budget for FY 2016—2017: Ayes: Committee Members Chung, Eoff, Hagan, Kanuha, Onishi, Paleka, Poindexter, Wille, and Chair David—9. Page 3 HSSSC-9 April 19, 2016 Submitting Video Testimony: Those submitting video testimony may email a complete web address (url) to videotestimonyghawaiicounty_.gov before 12:00 noon on the business day prior to the meeting. The email shall indicate the appropriate Committee or Council meeting, the meeting date, agenda item (communication, bill, resolution, or report number), and number of testifiers on the video submittal. Each video submittal shall be limited to a single agenda item. Video submittals may contain up to three individual testifiers and shall each be up to three minutes in length. Video testimony will not be played during the meeting; however, it will be distributed to Council Members prior to the meeting. The Office of the County Clerk reserves the right to refuse testimony containing inappropriate content or that is not in compliance with Council Rule 13 (Public Statements and Testimony).
