No. 867/Res.No. 526-16 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Kona, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 9:50 a.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation, to which was referred <br /> Resolution No. 526-16, reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 526-16, transmitted by Deputy Corporation Counsel Ronald Kim, via <br /> Communication No. 867 dated April 15, 2016, accepts the donation for park purposes of <br /> Lot 2-A-1-A identified as Tax Map Key: (3) 7-7-008:030, situated at Pahoehoe 3rd and 4th and <br /> La`aloa 1st,North Kona, County and State of Hawai`i, from the Island of Hawai`i YMCA. <br /> The parcel consists of approximately 6.365 acres. <br /> During the meeting, Resolution No. 526-16 was amended with the contents of Communication <br /> No. 867.1,transmitted by Vice Chair Poindexter, dated April 28, 2016. Your Committee approved the <br /> amendment unanimously. <br /> Former Deputy Director Ken Van Bergen, of the Parks and Recreation Department, appeared before <br /> Your Committee for questions. He gave a detailed explanation and history of how this parcel of land <br /> came about as a donation to the County.
