Today I am writing you all to express my support for bill 140. I am a mother of a 2 year old and find Ir —
imperative that we start taking action against those who produce a SINGLE USE product that sits in our
landfills for hundreds of years!
I, Stacey Breining, support Bill 140 because I am deeply concerned by the negative health im-pacts that single-
use EPS foam and plastic have on our marine wildlife and human health.
EPS foam continues to find its way into the ocean and can end up being ingested by numerousmarine animals
for years to come. When we sit down to eat our local fish, chances are that wecould be ingesting plastics and
chemicals too. I am emboldened by our keiki to make a commitment to change this behavior and show them
that we will take steps to support a cleaner future for all.
