I am not in favor of banning Styrofoam containers, but would be supportive of initiatives to convert to more
environmentally friendly materials by providing incentives and educating the public of the problems that
improperly disposed of Styrofoam can cause to our environment. Pushing bans on items that are used by so
many residents would create hardship on businesses and individuals that are not necessary. To me such radical
actions lead to taking the easy way out approach to problem solving. The easy way tends neither to be easy nor
effective in the long run. I prefer a thoughtful and planned approach to dealing with our problems,regardless of
the issue.
