Aloha,
My name is Maya Swinford and I am taking the time to send this email because I am unable to attend the council meeting today in
West Hawaii.
I want to express my desire to see Hawaii establish a cleaner way of life, and I strongly believe that eliminating the use of
STYROFOAM on the island is a vital and extremely relevant step to protecting the environment for generations to come.
I am in support of Bill 140 because I am deeply concerned by the negative health impacts that single-use EPS foam and plastic have
on our marine wildlife and human health. EPS foam continues to find its way into the ocean and poses significant risk to all marine life.
Please make record of my testimony, as I am an Island resident whos'voice matters.
