I, Stephanie Yelenik,support Bill 140 because I am deeply concerned by the negative impacts
that single-use EPS foam and plastic have on our terrestrial habitats,marine wildlife and human health. EPS foam continues to find its
way into the ocean and can end up being ingested by numerous marine animals for years to come. Using plastics one time and
throwing then into our already impacted landfills is a waste of our precious resources.All too often these plastics end up on the side of
a road,an eyesore and potentially ingested by birds.The are so many options, including single use compostable containers,that can
replace polystyrene containers. I would happily pay a few cents more for take-out to make this a reality.We are doing a disservice to
futuregenerations by continuing to use these products.
