Aloha Council Member Onishi,
I write to express my opposition to Bill 165 which would add a County u C)

of Hawaii surcharge of one-half percent on top of the current 4.0 c_>{-s
General Excise Tax.
Please do not do this. Why don't they look at decreasing some of these
astronomical salaries that the government employees make as well as fir,
their benefits versus what the private sector has to live on. It is
way beyond the time to structure our government as if it were an actual -°" r
business. ;. a
