Aloha Council Member Onishi,
I write to express my opposition to Bill 165 which would add a County
of Hawaii surcharge of one-half percent on top of the current 4.0 '
General Excise Tax.
How could this bill NOT do more harm than good??? It doesn't make
sense. It is not logically conceived, is unfair to the general public hJ as well as to businesses. It's not the proper way to use excise tax
money.
Thank you for the opportunity to express my thoughts on this important
matter in advance of Tuesday's vote. nJ
