Aloha Council Member Onishi,
I write to express my opposition to Bill 165 which would add a County cZ CDC)
of Hawaii surcharge of one-half percent on top of the current 4.0 c
General Excise Tax. 5;7,-
This is not the time.
Every time the county raises money with taxes it mainly goes to county -=
retirees and employees.
Not for the inatra structures that need improving.
This is not the time for this tax to be increased.
One comment i read of Kenoi's position on this increase.. . .he mentioned
CJ
for future expenses.
What about if he pays back more money and that will help the general
fund.
Thank you for the opportunity to express my thoughts on this important
matter in advance of Tuesday's vote.
