I write to express my opposition to Bill 165 which would add a County -:
of Hawaii surcharge of one-half percent on top of the current 4.0
General Excise Tax.
The combination of both State and Federal taxes has become overbearing 1
and punitive. Last year my wife and I paid over 30% of our income to
various governmental agencies.. .and that was after we used every 1
available write off.
Please. . . cut services to balance the budget and quit raising taxes! N
