I write to express my opposition to Bill 165 which would add a County CD
of Hawaii surcharge of one-half percent on top of the current 4.0
General Excise Tax.
It seems like I pay general excise tax on my income and everything I

purchase. The tax money received should be spent better. It is already
hard enough to pay for my medical insurance, car insurance and house -
insurance. We live in a place where it is only getting harder for iy
people to make ends meet. ,.
