Subject: Hearing on GET tax increase
DO NOT increase the GET tax.
This is a regressive tax that hurts those with low and limited income the worst.
The council is already proposing a 5.5% increase in the budget. Enough is enough, stop the spending and get
the labor costs under control. Social Security recipients saw no increase in $ this year. How can you raise
government workers pay when the rest of the people get nothing? It's time you stand up to the unions and
represent the tax payers.
An annual 5.5% increase doubles the budget in a short 12-13 years.
NO TO GET INCREASE!
