No. 360-16 and Comm. No. 592.1 I am writing in support of the above two measures. We desperately need a public park out here in HPP. There are no close parks in Keaau, and when we want to take our children or grandchildren to play, we must eithei drive into Hilo or Pahoa to accomplish this. HPP is the 2nd largest Subdivision in the WORLD!! That is a huge factor in needing a park to be built here and returning the land to the HPP Owners Association. Juvenile's seem to find trouble easily out here and a big reason, is there is nowhere for them to go to burn off some of their excess energy. With having that tract of land, there could be a fabulous recreational area built, as well as a place to help build cohesiveness in our Puna area. In closing, I ask that you pass the above two articles so that we can have a place to play and support each other out here in Keaau. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to explain why we truly need this.
