Here in New England, many tourists prefer recyclable products and towns that have banned styrofoam have soon found it profitable as word got out. Plastic pollution makes places look unkempt and dirty. It builds up long term and is bad for business as well as bad for the environment. As a judge for the Oceans Awareness Contest, my colleagues and I have found that students all over the world care about this issue deeply. If you have time, please look at their art, poems, videos and essays and consider what is best for their generation as you deliberate these issues: http://www.fromthebowseat.org/winners-2015-hs.php Warm regards, Karen Alexander 644, III Comm.
