Hello Mr. Kanuha,
I am writing to you in hopes that you will vote to ban Styrofoam in Hawaii County. On a daily basis I see
people taking their leftovers from restaurants in these containers that I know will within a day or two end up in
our landfills where they will sit forever(no exaggeration). We need to take care of our island home, for
ourselves, our children and many more generations to come. There are alternate materials that can easily be
used at not much more of a cost to these local eateries, or even the option of bringing your own container for
leftovers (the BEST option). This is such an easy fix! Please please please, I urge you to vote to help keep our
island clean and free of this toxic material.
