Subject: Testimony in support of styrofoam ban
Aloha Councilman Kanuha,
I'm writing to urge you to support the styrofoam ban in Hawaii county. I have read the arguments for
and against the ban and believe that it is a decision that has positive long-term effects that outweigh
the negative short-term effects. I believe that even though small businesses will need to raise prices to
end their use of styrofoam,those costs will ultimately be absorbed by consumers, and that we all have
a responsibility to make small sacrifices to keep our island and marine life healthy.
