We need to impose retrictions on our commercial vendors because they are not willing to and also not educated on the direct footprint and impact they are causing by using syrofoam. I worked at the QueensMarketplace and saw the massive amounts of styrofoam thrown into the dumpster daily. Not one single vendor is using an environmentally safe paper product. I also went to the management and asked if they would consider setting up a recycling station at Queens. They had no interest. If you have a chance, go there and see the massive amounts of styrofoam used. Then it is taken to our landfill which is located near our ocean. You know thes toxins are reaching our ocean. I live in puako and frequent the beaches around the area. Our beach life is no longer vibrant with life as it once was. Please pass this bill and make it mandatory ti stop usig styrofoam. We can no longer leave the choice to our vendors. Thank you, Waimakalani Iona Sent from my Verizon Smartphone Comm: NO: Ref. To: 1 _ 1 f?f Piot" 0117 _ .` 1
