Aloha,
My name is Jessica 'Anela Hodge I was born and raised on O'ahu in Kaneohe. I am currently the
President of the Surfrider Foundation at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa Club. As well as a 3rd
year student studying Environmental Studies in hopes to fulfill my masters in Environmental
Education to be an environmental teacher in my home state.
I support this bill because I want my children and future generations to enjoy our beautiful beaches
and observe the beautiful creatures in it without harmful pollutants.
I also believe that Hawai'i can be a leader for not only the rest of the country but countries around the
world.
The University of Hawai'i at Manoa has already banned Styrofoam products and shows that banning
these products will not cause businesses to fail.
Please support this Bill for our keiki and to show the world that Hawai'i is a leader in sustainability and
innovation.
