At its June 3,2016 meeting,the County Council referred Bill 206 to the Planning Department to
consult with the Department of Public Works and applicant relating to required improvements to
the frontage of the subject property. The Planning Department has completed its discussions
with the applicant and DPW, and the following amended language for Condition G has been
developed that is agreeable to the Planning Department,Department of Public Works and
applicant. (Material to be added is underlined, and material to be deleted is bracketed and
stricken.)
G. A [fifteen(15)] ten(10) foot wide future road widening strip along the property's
Pahoa Village Road frontage shall be delineated on plans submitted for Plan Approval
review and shall be subdivided and dedicated, at no cost to the County, [pfier-te-the

p�]when required by the Department of Public Works. The applicants shall
provide their pro-rata share for the construction of full improvements to the property's
frontage along Pahoa Village Road consisting of, but not limited to, pavement widening
with concrete curb, gutter and sidewalk, drainage improvements and any required utility

improvements specified in this condition shall be determined by the Department of Public
Works and shall become due and payable to the County of Hawai`i within six (6)months
from the date that a formal notice is served upon the applicant, its successors or assigns
by the Department of Public Works regarding a program for the installation of curb,
gutter and sidewalk improvements along the frontage of Pahoa Village Road in proximity
to the subject property.
Please place Bill No. 206 on the next available agenda of the Council for First Reading.
