Re: Resolution to negotiate multi-year lease
Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the County of Hawaii negotiate a multi-year lease of
real property identified by Tax Map Key (TMK) (3) 6-7-02:25, the Old Waimea Tax
Office to the Waimea Preservation Association (WPA). This property is to be used by
the WPA as a historical resource center to encourage community awareness of Waimea's
rich cultural heritage.

A. REQUEST:
Approval to negotiate a multi-year lease of real property identified as Tax Map Key: (3) 6-7-02:25, Old
Waimea Tax Office, to Waimea Preservation Association.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
Waimea Preservation Association, a not-for-profit organization, desires to lease the Parcel from the County.
The facility will be used as a historical resource center, initiating, sponsoring and collaborating with other
community organizations, groups and committees, encouraging community awareness in Waimea's rich
cultural heritage.
