Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation, to which was referred Bill No. 213,
reports as follows:
Bill No. 213,transmitted by Public Works Director Warren H.W. Lee, via Communication No. 905
dated May 16, 2016, amends Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 2, of the Hawaii County Code 1983
(2005 Edition, as amended), relating to moving vehicles.
The bill adds a portion of Old Mamalahoa Highway to Section 24-265, Schedule 13 (Yield
locations), subsection (b),North Hilo, to limit traffic to one vehicle at a time over the Hakalau
Stream Bridge.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation is in accord with the purpose and intent
of Bill No. 213, and recommends its passage on first reading.
