Re: Resolution for multi-year agreement
Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the payment of funds for more than one fiscal year,
for a multi-year lease agreement with Threat Track for computer network anti-virus
software. A multi-year agreement will result in a substantial cost savings over annual
renewals.

A. REQUEST:
Approval to enter into a multi-year agreement with Threat Track for our computer network Anti-Virus renewal.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
The subscription is for 100-249 licences which will cover all of the users in the Prosecutor's office. Puchasing
two years of services saves ten and one half percent of the total cost for two years. compared to paying a
yearly fee.
We do not now see an alternate to virus protection in the next few years. We ask the County Council to
approve this multi-year purchase.

RE: Resolution No. 564-16 : RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS
OF A LATER FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI-
YEAR AGREEMENT FOR ANTI-VIRUS SOFTWARE.
Pursuant to Section 2(g) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County of
Hawai`i, this written request is submitted with my approval that the above-referenced matter be
waived from the Committee on Finance to the full Council for immediate action. In reviewing
this matter, timely approval is crucial. It is therefore advantageous that approval is granted and
the matter be placed onto the next Council agenda for review. However, in the event this request
is denied, for whatever reason, I understand the matter shall be referred to the Committee on
Finance for placement on its future agenda.
