Dear Chairman Kanuha and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Mr. Wayne K. DeLuz., of Council District 4 to the County
of Hawai'i Police Commission. Mr. DeLuz is a 50-year resident of Hawai'i. He is the
owner of Big Island Motors dba Hilo-Kona Mazda Subaru Hyundai.
Mr. DeLuz is a former Hawai'i Island United Way board member and past president of
KIAA. He is a member of the Hawai'i Auto Dealers Association. He states he is not
affiliated with any political party. If confirmed, he will fill a vacant term to end on
December 31, 2019.
