RESOLUTION NO. 572 1G
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR MATERIALS AND SUPPLIES TO BUILD AN
ENCLOSED DOG PARK AT KAMAKOA NUI PARK IN WAIKOLOA VILLAGE.
WHEREAS, locating a dog park at Kamakoa Nui Park in Waikoloa Village will provide
the community with a safe recreational environment for dogs, dog owners, and park users alike;
and
WHEREAS, the dog park will encompass a fenced area of approximately 15,000 square
feet; and
WHEREAS, the Kamakoa Nui Dog Park will eliminate conflict between park users of
other park facilities, such as the ball park; and
WHEREAS, the dog park will be divided into two areas to accommodate both large and
small dogs; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation has committed to supply the labor
for installation of the fence for the dog park; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 9 will be appropriated to
the Department of Parks and Recreation for materials and supplies to build an enclosed dog park
at Kamakoa Nui Park in Waikoloa Village; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and Director of Finance, and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
