Subject: Do NOT support Res. 565
We do not need to talk about this issue again, we've talked about it. We need to pass the CORRECT,
ALREADY VOTER APPROVED ACTION BASED BILL next session. Do not waste these business people's
valuable time, do not waste these environmental groups limited resources, do not start waste our tax payer money
when you council members could be actually doing something rather than talking, do not start a task force after
voting against the bill that was already set to address this issue. Council members, if you thought it was an imperfect
bill you could have addressed that then, you could have proposed amendments and worked to make it a more
complete bill. Your arguments have no merit.
We as a community are already resolved that we need to ban polystyrene and use the many viable alternatives as
the overwhelming testimony in favor of that bill demonstrated.
We do not need another taskforce. We know the issues. We need action.
We had a chance to take the first step to ban polystyrene, this is not an acceptable alternative.
I do not support Resolution 565.
