RESOLUTION NO. 597 16
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PURCHASE WREATHS TO BE PLACED AT
THE WEST HAWAII VETERANS CEMETERY FOR THE NATIONAL WREATHS
ACROSS AMERICA DAY ON DECEMBER 17, 2016.
WHEREAS, the mission of Wreaths Across America is to remember the fallen, honor
those that serve, and teach the value of freedom by coordinating the laying of wreaths at veterans
cemeteries across the United States on December 17, 2016; and
WHEREAS, Cadets of the Hawai`i Wing Civil Air Patrol, Kona Composite Squadron,
have been tasked with the laying of wreaths upon each grave at the West Hawai`i Veterans
Cemetery for the National Wreaths Across America Day; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 8 will be appropriated to
the Department of Parks and Recreation to purchase wreaths for laying at the West Hawaii
Veterans Cemetery for the National Wreaths Across America Day on December 17, 2016; now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

OUT AND FROM:
010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC —Contingency Relief $5,000
CREDITED TO:
010.500.5503.02 Department of Parks and Recreation $5,000

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and Director of Finance, and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
