RESOLUTION NO. 610 16
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO COMMUNITY
ENTERPRISES TO PAY FOR EXPENSES ASSOCIATED WITH CONDUCTING
COMMUNITY FORUMS IN WEST HAWAII.
WHEREAS, Community Enterprises is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, nonprofit organization
that was created in 2005 to provide informational community forums for the residents of West
Hawai`i; and
WHEREAS, Community Enterprises needs funds to pay for various operational
equipment, supplies, and other related expenses necessary to conduct monthly community
forums in West Hawai`i; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai`i County Code,
Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via
resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event,
activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 6 will be appropriated to
the Department of Research and Development to provide a grant to Community Enterprises to
pay for various expenses associated with conducting community forums in West Hawai`i; now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Research and Development and Director of Finance, and that the
Director of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the
terms of this resolution.
