Re: Resolution for multi-year lease
Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the payment of funds for more than one fiscal year,
for a new multi-year lease agreement of one multi-function copy machine for the
Department of Finance. The copier being replaced is obsolete, with some repair parts no
longer available.
Please waive this resolution from the Finance Committee and place it on the September
7, 2016 Council agenda in order to expedite the replacement of this copier. If there are
any questions, please do not hesitate to call Chris Nakano of the Department of Finance's
Treasury Division at 961-6240.

A. REQUEST:
To enter into a multi-year agreement for five (5) years for one (1) copy, scan &fax machine in the Treasury
Division.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
The service contract on the Konica Minolta Bizhub 200 will expire on 8/10/2016. We were inforrmed by the
service technician that due to the age of the current machine, some parts are no longer available. Future
breakdowns would cause non-operational periods.

RE: Resolution No. 615-16 : RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS
OF A LATER FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI-
YEAR LEASE FOR ONE(1)MULTI-FUNCTION COPY MACHINE FOR THE DEPARTMENT
OF FINANCE.
Pursuant to Section 2(g) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County of
Hawai`i, this written request is submitted with my approval that the above-referenced matter be
waived from the Committee on Finance to the full Council for immediate action. In reviewing
this matter, timely approval is crucial. It is therefore advantageous that approval is granted and
the matter be placed onto the next Council agenda for review. However, in the event this request
is denied, for whatever reason, I understand the matter shall be referred to the Committee on
Finance for placement on its future agenda.
