Aloha Council Members,
I strongly support the elimination of polystyrene foam food containers and service ware. Their are now practical
and affordable alternatives to the environmental blight that is polystyrene.
Therefore, I strongly encourage you to approve Council Member Margaret Wille's communication 944.14 as an
amendment to Council Member Danny Paleka's Resolution 565,D2.
If communication 944.14 does pass, please oppose Resolution 565,D2.
Global climate change has arrived. Addressing global climate change will involve a lot of sacrifice and hard
choices. Eliminating polystyrene foam food containers is one of the easiest and least painful steps that we will
take in responding to global climate change.
I hope that all of you have the vision and moral fortitude to do what is right. Let's eliminate polystyrene food
contains and service ware.
