No. 999/Bill No. 230 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 1:56 p.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo,Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Bill No. 230, reports as follows: <br /> Bill No. 230,transmitted by Mayor William P. Kenoi via Communication No. 999 dated August 11, <br /> 2016, amends chapter 25, Article 4, Division 5, Section 25-4-55 of the Hawaii County Code 1983 <br /> (2005 Edition,as amended), relating to parking for persons with disabilities. This bill repeals the <br /> outdated standards in Section 25-4-55 and replaces it with a statement that parking for persons with <br /> disabilities shall comply with all applicable Federal and State requirements for the facility or site. <br /> The Windward Planning Commission, at its duly held public hearing on July 7, 2016,concurred with the <br /> recommendation by the Planning Director to send a favorable recommendation to the Council.
