SUBJECT: Disaster Preparedness Discussion

I request 90 minutes to allow for a discussion with the Administrator of Civil Defense and or
his designees on the status of island-wide disaster preparedness including with regard to
hurricane, tsunami, wildfire, and lava flow preparedness.
I am requesting public testimony be allowed before and after the discussion and that it state
so on the Council Committee agenda.
Please place this matter on the appropriate October 4, 2016 Committee agenda.
