Subject: Correction to Memorandum on seismic hazazds calculations
In my memo dated 26 May 1999, I stated that there is a 2°6 probability that, in a ~0-year return
period, ground accelerations in excess of 0.4 g will occur at sites covering nearly the entire County.
It is actually a 10% probabiliry. Note also that ground accelerations in excess of 0.8 g are expected
in the Districts of Ka'u and Puna
