Dear Chairman Kanuha and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Ms. Teresa L. Nakama of Council District 8, to the County
of Hawaii Game Management Advisory Commission. Ms. Nakama is a lifelong resident
of Hawai'i. She is employed by Securitas as a Standing Guard.
Ms. Nakama is Chair of the West Hawaii Aha Moku, Director of the Big Island Fisheries
Alliance, and a member of the Kona Hawaiian Civic Club. She states that she is a
Democrat. If confirmed, she will serve the remainder of a term to end on
December 31, 2019, replacing Mark C. Bartell who resigned.
