RESOLUTION NO. 679 16
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR EQUIPMENT FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF
PARKS AND RECREATION.
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation maintains neighborhood parks,
beach parks, cemeteries, playgrounds, ballfields, and other recreational facilities; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation also undertakes construction,
repairs, and renovation projects for buildings, equipment, and grounds; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation strives to provide safe facilities
and grounds for the public, which requires replacement of old maintenance equipment and
upgrading current inventory to enhance the capabilities and production of the department; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is in need of an edge bander
machine; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 3 will be appropriated to
the Department of Parks and Recreation for the purchase of a complete edge bander set; now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and Director of Finance, and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
