Re: Resolutiou For Charles Rodgers vs. County of Hawaii, et a[.,
Civil No. 99-00146 SPK
We respectfully request that the following resolution be assigned to the appropriate
Council member and committee, if necessary, so that, it maybe taken up at the next
regularly scheduled County Council meeting:
1. Resolution authorizing the Corporation Counsel, and his authorized
representatives, to enter into agreements with the individually named
defendants, who are employees of the County of Hawaii, to represent them
in the civil action entitled Charles Rodgers vs. County of Hawaii, et al.,
Civil No. 99-00146 SPK.
We further request that the resolution be waived past committee meetings. The
subject matter of this resolution has been discussed with the County Council during
executive session.

RE: Resolution or Communication No. 81-99: Resolution For Charles Rodgers vs.
County of Hawaii , et al., Civil No. 99-0146 SPK
Pursuant to Section 1(e) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County of
Hawaii, this written request is submitted with my approval that the above-referenced matter be
waived from the Committee on Finance to the full Council for immediate action. In reviewing
this matter, timely approval is crucial. It is therefore advantageous that approval is granted and
the matter placed onto the next Council agenda for review. However, in the event this request is
denied, for whatever reason, I understand the matter shall be referred to the Committee on
Finance for placement on its future agenda.
