RE: A Resolution Requesting The Department Of Parks And Recreation To
Encourage Minimizing The Use Of Plastic Water Bottles By Installing Water
Bottle Filling Stations At County Of Hawai'i Parks And Recreation Facilities
Island Wide.
Attached is a resolution requesting the Department of Parks And Recreation minimize the use of
plastic water bottles by installing water bottle filling stations at County Of Hawai'i Parks and
Recreation facilities island wide, as recommended unanimously by the Hawai`i Island Packaging
Sustainability Initiative Stakeholders Task Force.
I am requesting this matter be placed on the appropriate committee agenda scheduled to convene
on November 1, 2016.
