RE: A Resolution Urging The County Of Hawai`i To Encourage Manufacturing Of
Packaging On Hawai'i Island That Is Aligned With The Integrated Resource
Solid Waste Management Plan (IRSWMP) And Zero Waste Policies.
Attached is a resolution urging the County of Hawai`i to encourage manufacturing of packaging
on Hawaii Island that is aligned with IRSWMP and zero waste policies, as recommended by the
Hawaii Island Packaging Sustainability Initiative Stakeholders Task Force.
I am requesting this matter be placed on the appropriate committee agenda scheduled to convene
on November 1, 2016.
