Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation, to which was referred
Resolution No. 668-16, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 668-16, transmitted by Council Member Greggor Ilagan, via Communication
No. 1088 dated September 30, 2016, initiates the process of renaming Ma`ili Street in Leilani
Estates to "Maile Street."
The resolution directs the Planning Director to initiate the process of renaming Ma`ili Street in
Leilani Estates to "Maile Street" following enactment of the ordinance proposed in Bill No. 234.
Council Member Ilagan, who spoke in support of Resolution No. 668-16, stated that the original
name of the street was "Maile Street." This resolution will set in motion the name change
process, as requested by the community.
Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation is in accord with the purpose and
intent of Resolution No. 668-16, and recommends its adoption.
