Res. 671-16: URGES THE 2017 HAWAII STATE LEGISLATURE TO PASS LEGISLATION
ALLOWING THE COUNTIES TO IMPLEMENT A HIGH-STAKES BINGO
PROGRAM
The gaming operation would be run by the County to raise revenue to be divided equally
between the State and County to fund long-term projects and essential services.

Res. 672-16: URGES THE 2017 HAWAII STATE LEGISLATURE TO PROMOTE OCEAN
HEALTH BY BANNING THE SALE OF SUNSCREENS AND OTHER PERSONAL
CARE PRODUCTS THAT CONTAIN OXYBENZONE
The requested prohibition aims to protect coral reefs and marine life from the potentially
harmful effects of oxybenzone.

Res. 673-16: URGES THE 2017 HAWAII STATE LEGISLATURE TO PASS LEGISLATION TO
DECRIMINALIZE MARIJUANA
The legislation would reduce the classification of possession of one ounce or less of
marijuana from a petty misdemeanor punishable by up to 30 days in jail and up to a
$1,000 fine, to a civil violation punishable by fines and/or community service.

agenda item (communication, bill, resolution, or report number), and number of testifiers on the video
submittal. Each video submittal shall be limited to a single agenda item. Video submittals may
contain up to three individual testifiers and shall each be up to three minutes in length. Video
